Cytonn is an alternative investment manager focused on Real Estate & Private Equity, serving High Net-Worth, the Diaspora and Institutional Investors; specializing in master-planned and gated communities development. Prior to co-founding Cytonn, he led a team that transformed Britam Asset Managers to the leading locally managed alternative manager in Kenya before the
team left to form Cytonn.
Prior to money management, he was an investment banker with Lehman Brothers and Bank of America Merrill in New York where he focused on mergers and acquisitions, debt and equity capital raise for financial institutions. He started his career at KPMG New Jersey as an auditor. He holds
an MBA from the Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania, a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Monmouth University, and is a Certified Public Acco
untant in the State of New Jersey. Edwin has been recognized by the Institut Choiseul top 200 business leaders in Africa 2014, Business Daily Africa Top 40 Under 40 Men 2012, & Who’s Who in American Colleges & Universities.
He has over 15 years experience in finance and investments, totaling over USD 100 billion of both transaction and investment management experience in both local and global financial markets. Experienced in analysis & valuation, funding investments, optimal capital structure,
